Educational Materials support to students and Computer fees paid, Dharmasthali Community School, Pokhara

The dresses and the stationary materials were distributed for 50 deprived student of Dharmasthali Basic School. The program was held to reduce the dropout rate of deprived students due to the poor financial condition, thereby establishing access to education for all.
More than 300 students studying in the school, students are selected on the basis of various indicators such as marginalized, deprived, orphans, dalit, and the one who is not supported before from elsewhere. “The program was supported by German couple Elke and jorg with the help of Movias, conducted by Right to Access Nepal (RAN)” – Mr. Kedar Nath Baral, the principal of the school, said.
The program was supported by the German couple jorg and Elke Möbius, and the educational materials are distributed through Right to Access Nepal (RAN), Kathmandu.
Each student was supported a peer of shoes, two peers of shocks, one school bags, two sets of school dress, a set of tie and belt, a set of stationery materials such as 18 unit of notebook, 5 unit of pen, 10 set of pencil eraser and sharpener, 1 measuring scale, a set of colour pencil, etc., the program manager and social activist Ms. Ambika Kaudal corresponded. Moreover, some students were supported for computer materials too.
Speaking in the program on Tuesday, Mr. Dhananjaya Paudel, the local social worker and the advisor of school management committee, asked to concern stakeholders and authorities to bring a comprehensive school project to address various issues such as school dropout, poor attendance of the student, school results, etc.
In the same program, German citizen Elke stressed that she was delightful in heaven to help the poor people of the public school in Pokhara, the beautiful city. The funds collected from the various German people are utilized in the proper way, she added. Moreover, the parents and children were made aware by her of the environment-friendly behavior, and she requested to reduce or ban the use of plastics.
Speaking at the Social Distribution Program, the Chief Guest of the program Mr. Dhan Bahadur Nepali, the ward chief of Pokhara Metro City, Ward no 5, urged that –“children are the common stakeholder of the society, being the nation’s future; I have prioritized the program that will make sustainable, capable and educated children in the school.
