Objectives
Overall objective: to improve livelihood and food security through asset creation and income generation through micro irrigation supports in the project locations. Specific objectives are to:
· Form groups of the target groups
· Enhance production capacity of target groups through training and capacity buildings programs
· Install micro irrigation systems in project locations
· Create conditions for sustainability of the project
· Document and disseminate the project results
Major activities
The major activities to be accomplished are derived from the following main components:
· Social component: group formation, registration, mobilization, institution building
· Agriculture component: High value crop (vegetable mainly) production and marketing, crop intensification and diversification
· Irrigation hardware technology component: Installation of MITs like community/individual tank with necessary pipe line arrangement , drip, sprinkler, solar pump, treadle pump

· 34 groups of the target groups have adequate irrigation facilities in project locations
· Micro irrigation systems (drip, sprinkle, plastic pond, bamboo treadle pumps) are utilized by the target groups
